NetFlix is now offering their movie subscriptions service, which usually takes place through postal mail, through this new $100 device from Roku. The device offers all of the connections you could ask for, including component, composite, HDMI, and digital optical audio. It will be interesting to see what this does for Apple and how it drives down the price of the Apple TV, or maybe it will even push them to a subscription service. For $8.00 per month, NetFlix is definitely going to continue to be a big player in the game. Read more abotu this news from AppleInsider here or the New York Times here !

Come join Gabe and other podcasters, bloggers and new media professionals at PodCamp Ohio , held at the ITT Technical Institute in Hilliard, Ohio on June 28, 2008 from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. It's FREE too! Gabe is helping out by designing the event guide (cover pictured), and will also be speaking on "Podcasting for Eternity". There will be many other great sessions going on as well. Below is an overview of Gabe's session.
Technology often seems impersonal, but it is actually one of the best ways to share who you really are and what is most important to you. Our faith is just as much a part of our life's story as anything else, so why miss out on some of the best opportunities to share it with others.
Creating revenue through your media is great, but by focusing so much on that we might be missing out on rewards that are eternal. Come and hear examples of how you can make this happen through podcasting and other new media.

This show, although the religious title is just a spin-off, invited Gabe to recently come on for a fun interview. Click here to listen now (interview starts at 11:00)! The hosts, aka "Rabbi Marcelo and Reverend John", have a fun time digging into the stories of how folks like Gabe made the switch to the Mac. You'll enjoy the pledge that they force their guests to make, as well as some very good reasons to think about switching if you haven't already. Thanks to Marcelo and John for the invite and interview!

Exciting news today from the Adium instant messenger camp! It sounds like they have a team hard at work at implementing video chat capabilities into the soon to be released Adium 2.0.
We continue to use Adium since it allows us to collaborate with our friends on AIM, MSN, Yahoo and other chat services all in one app. You can read more about by visiting their blog here. Thanks to their team - we're looking forward to it!

15 bloggers have safely arrived in Uganda! Compassion sent the group off yesterday to blog about their experience while there, and after 30 hours of travel the stories, videos and pictures are now coming in. You may follow the Uganda blog here, or visit this page to see a list of all of the individual's blogs and follower their stories specifically. Thanks to both Compassion and these 15 bloggers for following God's lead and allowing technology to meet eternity! If you feel led to also financially support a child in Uganda, please click the image to the left. Keep the group in your prayers, and be sure to head over to the blogs and comment to encourage them as they reach out.
